I few weeks ago I had an extraordinary experience at the Palazzo Las Vegas. For those of you who have never been to the Palazzo Las Vegas, this incredible hotel and casino is something you don’t want to miss. I don’t want to go off on a tangent about how wonderful the Palazzo Las Vegas is, but suffice it to say that you’ll never know what hit you as soon as you walk in the door.

It all started in a book shop in Las Angeles. Of course, this is a strange place to begin a story about the Palazzo Las Vegas, but you can be sure that it will increase as it goes along. I mean the strangeness. But that’s how we started. Talking about the Palazzo Las Vegas.

It seems a strange way to begin a conversation with a girl that you think is attractive, but she happened to be reading a travel magazine that was clearly open to a review of the Palazzo Las Vegas. I asked her if she’d ever stayed at the Palazzo.

She said she had, and she was interested in seeing if the review gave it as high marks as she did. I confessed I had never been there, and then she asked me where I usually stay when I go to Vegas. This is the problem in not thinking a couple steps ahead when using an interesting conversation starter.

Because in order to truthfully answer her question, I would have to reveal something myself that I don’t think would put me in the best light. Of course I had never stayed at the Palazzo Las Vegas, I had always stayed at the cheapest fleabags I could find.

I don’t think that would make me very attractive in her eyes. The best answer would obviously be, “Oh, I always stay at the Palazzo Las Vegas. It’s my favorite hotel.” Of course, I didn’t, I said something about my cheap buddies that I always go with, and we usually get whatever deal we can find online.

She went on to tell me exactly what I was missing. Why I should stay at the Palazzo Las Vegas, and how many wonderful experiences I’d have at the Palazzo. She went on and on about he casino, the shows, the magnificent restaurants, and above all, the luxurious rooms one can find in the Palazzo Las Vegas.

I decided then and there on a bold move, one I never would have thought I had the courage to even think about. I point blank asked her if she’d like to leave with them, right then and there, for the Palazzo Las Vegas.

She blinked, smiled, and said yes. And what happened after that is the subject of another post.

And the excitement that happened at the Palazzo Las Vegas is something I can’t even begin to describe.
